Executive Officers

Andrew Meslow serves as chief executive officer of L Brands and Bath & Body Works.He was promoted to CEO of Bath & Body Works in February 2020 after serving as the brand’s chief operating officer for eight years. He joined the L Brands board of directors and became the company’s CEO at the close of its annual meeting of stockholders on May 2020. With more than 15 years of experience at Bath & Body Works and 29 years in specialty retail, he brings deep company knowledge, immense retail and financial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing for customers, the business and company associates.

As the COO of Bath & Body Works, Meslow led several areas of the business, including finance, merchandise planning and allocation, store operations and the direct channel. Meslow joined L Brands in 2003, working in roles at Victoria’s Secret and the corporate group before moving to Bath & Body Works in 2005 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to joining the enterprise, Meslow was with Banana Republic for more than seven years, where he held a variety of leadership positions including vice president/brand CFO. He began his retail career at Ann Taylor in 1991, where he was part of the Loft launch team.

Stuart Burgdoerfer has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for L Brands since April of 2007 and was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer of VS NewCo on May 4, 2020. Stuart leads and is responsible for all enterprise, brand and function finance activities including: financial planning and analysis, control, enterprise risk management and internal audit, tax, and treasury. His non-finance leadership responsibilities include enterprise loss prevention and non-merchandise procurement. For his leadership and guidance, Stuart has repeatedly been recognized as one of “America’s Best CFOs” by the Institutional Investor.

In his career, Stuart has held leadership positions with The Home Depot, Pepsico / YUM! subsidiary Pizza Hut and the management consulting firm CSC Index, and was a CPA for Deloitte.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Progressive Insurance Company and KIPP Journey Academy, and previously served on the boards of Galyan’s Trading Company and Spelman College.

Stuart holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Charlie McGuigan is chief operating officer of L Brands and is a member of the company’s executive committee. In this role, he is responsible for leading enterprise operations. From 2010 to 2012 McGuigan served as chief executive officer of Mast Global, the production and sourcing arm of L Brands. He joined L Brands in 2004 as senior vice president of technology services for the company.

Prior to joining L Brands, McGuigan worked for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a leader in the consumer, product and retail practices. He has significant and diverse industry experience in both domestic and international operations. Before joining Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, McGuigan held several management positions in the consulting and engineering industries.

McGuigan received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ulster in the U.K. and holds a diploma of management sciences in business.



Shelley B. Milano serves as executive vice president, chief human resources officer for L Brands. Founded in 1963, L Brands operates specialty stores through Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works, La Senza and Henri Bendel. In this role, she is responsible for advancing enterprise talent and development initiatives to enable growth of the business and L Brands associates.

Prior to being named Chief Human Resources Officer at L Brands, Shelley served for three years as senior vice president, general counsel.

Before joining L Brands in 2015, Shelley served in executive leadership positions at Eddie Bauer, Inc., Starbucks Corporation, where she was responsible for strategic and operational management of human resources functions in the United States and internationally, and at Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. where she led communications, company facilities, government and community relations, and supplier support in addition to her role as vice president and general counsel.

Shelley graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in accountancy, summa cum laude, from Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan; and a juris doctor degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley, California.

Shelley is a member of the Board of Directors for Urban Hardwoods and Bartell Drug, and has previously served on the boards of Adrian College, ETC, Family Foundation of North America, Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Pike Place Market Foundation.

James Bersani ("Jamie") is President of L Brands Real Estate and has led the real estate team since April 2006. L Brands global real estate fleet is comprised of more than 3,800 stores for the Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works, White Barn and La Senza brands. He is responsible for leading the strategic/proactive execution of all retail real estate transactions (approximately 1,000 annually) and leveraging relationships to deliver analytics to inform L Brands strategy and thinking.

Jamie joined L Brands in 1986 as a Real Estate Director. He held a variety of roles in the real estate department with increasing leadership until his promotion to President, Real Estate in April 2014.

Prior to joining L Brands, Jamie worked in tax law and accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and Ernst & Whinney. He is a licensed attorney and CPA in New York State. Jamie is a three-time graduate of Syracuse University, earning his B.S. and M.S. degrees from its School of Management, as well as his J.D. degree from its College of Law.

Jamie has served as a Trustee for ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and currently serves on the Buckeye Ranch Foundation Board of Directors.

Martin Waters joined L Brands in 2008 as head of the international division. Under Martin’s leadership, the international business has expanded from the early phases of incubation to more than 1,000 stores globally. In addition, Martin has overseen the reinvention of La Senza, including relocating the business offices from Canada to the L Brands world headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Through a combination of wholly owned and franchise operations, Martin leads international retail for Victoria’s Secret, PINK, Bath & Body Works and La Senza.

Prior to his role with L Brands, Martin was Managing Director for Boots Retail International, Europe’s leading health and beauty retailer. Martin has lived and worked in five countries leveraging his experience in strategic planning, merchandising, brand management, marketing and supply chain operations to establish new business models in over 75 countries around the world.

Martin received a Bachelor of Arts in Retail Marketing from Manchester University in U.K.

As part of his commitment to the community, Martin is a Governor on the National Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and serves as Chairman of the Midwest region, as well as the Operating Model and Governance Committee.

Martin and his wife Anna have three children.
